TSS-P

TSS-P features advanced technologies including Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Automatic High Beam.

TSS 2.0

TSS 2.0 builds on TSS-P, and consists of up to six active safety and driver assistance systems.

TSS 2.5+

TSS 2.5+ adds new capabilities to the Pre-Collision and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control Systems, and enhances Lane Tracing Assist.

TSS 3.0

TSS 3.0 brings even more advances, including Motorcycle Detection, Lane Change Assist, and Front Cross Traffic Alert.

TSS-P - LANE DEPARTURE ALERT WITH STEERING ASSIST5

Lane Departure Alert (LDA) is a feature that detects visible white or yellow lane markings and alerts you if you begin to drift out of your lane. Some models that have TSS-P may also have Steering Assist, which can make small adjustments to the steering to keep you in your lane.

TSS 2.0 - LANE DEPARTURE ALERT WITH STEERING ASSIST AND ROAD EDGE DETECTION5

If your vehicle has the TSS 2.0 system, the Lane Departure Alert (LDA) feature will notify you if you begin to drift out of your lane by detecting visible white or yellow lane markings, road edges, or curbs at certain speeds. Additionally, if you do not take any action, the Steering Assist feature may make gentle corrective steering adjustments.

TSS 2.5+ AND 3.0 - LANE DEPARTURE ALERT WITH STEERING ASSIST AND ROAD EDGE DETECTION5

DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL

TSS-P - DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL7

Designed for use on highways, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) can automatically modify your car's speed to keep a predetermined distance from the vehicle ahead of you. This system is meant to function at speeds ranging from around 40 km/h to 180 km/h.

TSS 2.0 - FULL SPEED RANGE DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL7

Full Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is capable of managing vehicle-to-vehicle distance control down to a standstill at 0 km/h, and can resume functioning after coming to a complete stop.

TSS 2.5+ AND 3.0 - FULL SPEED DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL WITH CURVE SPEED MANAGEMENT7

In TSS 2.5+ and 3.0, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is improved with a Curve Speed Management feature, which assesses whether the vehicle's speed should be decreased when nearing a curve on the road and automatically slows down if necessary while navigating the curve. Additionally, TSS 3.0 includes Front Cross Traffic Alert.

For models equipped with Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), LTA collaborates with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to maintain the vehicle's position in the center of its clearly marked lane and proactively prevent unintentional lane departures.

TSS 2.5+ AND 3.0 - LANE TRACING ASSIST WITH ENHANCED LINE & ROAD RECOGNITION

In vehicles featuring TSS 2.5+ and 3.0, the lane recognition performance can potentially identify the path of travel even when road markings are temporarily disrupted.

AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM

Every TSS package comes with Automatic High Beam (AHB) headlights. The system responds to approaching headlights or taillights ahead, seamlessly switching from high-beam to low-beam, and reverting to high-beam once the path is unobstructed.

TSS-P - PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WITH PEDESTRIAN DETECTION

The Pre-Collision System (PCS) offers assistance in avoiding or reducing the impact of a frontal collision in specific scenarios. It may even apply the brakes automatically to assist the driver. Additionally, PCS can identify pedestrians in certain situations.

TSS 2.0 - PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WITH DAYTIME/LOW-LIGHT VEHICLE AND PEDESTRIAN DETECTION, PLUS DAYTIME BICYCLE DETECTION

PCS is also designed to help detect bicyclists in daytime situations, as well as vehicles and pedestrians in both daytime and low-light situations.

TSS 2.5+ & TSS 3.0 - PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WITH PEDESTRIAN (DAYTIME & LOW-LIGHT) & DAYTIME BICYCLE DETECTION3, INTERSECTION SUPPORT & EMERGENCY STEERING ASSIST

PCS in TSS 2.5+ and 3.0 may warn you of oncoming pedestrians or vehicles when making a left turn at an intersection, as well as an on-coming pedestrian when performing a right-hand turn and provide emergency braking in certain conditions. They also feature Emergency Steering Assist, which is designed to stabilize the driver’s emergency steering maneuver and keep the vehicle in its lane when avoiding pedestrian, cyclist or another vehicle under specific conditions. PCS is further enhanced with TSS 3.0 and adds intersection collision avoidance for crossing vehicles, low speed collision avoidance to prevent rear ending another vehicle. In certain situations it can also help detect motorcycles.

Brake Assist (BA)

Brake Assist is designed to detect sudden or "panic" braking and then add the full pressure needed to help prevent a collision.

Traction Control (TRAC)

Traction Control helps maintain traction on wet, icy, loose or uneven surfaces by applying brake force to the spinning wheel(s).

Smart Stop Technology

This advanced technology automatically cuts engine power and allows the brakes to take precedence over the accelerator when both pedals are pressed at the same time.

Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD)

Toyota's ABS technology has Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) to help keep the vehicle more stable and balanced when braking.

Toyota conducts over 1,600 vehicle crash tests annually, alongside virtual simulations, with the aim of enhancing road safety for drivers, passengers, and other road users. These crash tests involve the use of sensors that provide data during critical moments of impact, enabling Toyota to analyze the effects of collisions and make necessary improvements to their vehicles.

TRIPLE CHECKING

Toyota ensures the quality of their airbags by incorporating gold-plated terminals for the electronic connections, which prevents corrosion. Furthermore, each airbag undergoes three separate inspections during the production process to ensure they meet the required standards before being connected.

Toyota launched the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) in 2015, which involved a complete overhaul of their powertrains and platforms.
