At its core lies a 2.4-litre naturally aspirated Flat-4 boxer engine with Toyota’s D-4S dual injection system, producing 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque at 3,700 RPM. Whether paired with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, the GR86 delivers instant throttle response and a smooth, linear power curve.
A Torsen limited-slip differential ensures optimal traction through every corner, while its lightweight aluminum panels, double-wishbone rear suspension, and precise electric power steering make it one of the most agile sports coupes on the road.
